In 1971 at the age of 18, Mike joined the Carpenter Apprenticeship Program. He quickly came to realize that if he understood the ways that buildings were assembled and that if he applied himself, this could be a great career path.
Early in his career, Mike worked in the field performing a multitude of carpentry skills. While working with a General Contractor, the owner approached him about starting a drywall subcontractor division of the company. This step took him from field work to management for the next 10 years, giving him the chance to see how General Contractors ran the projects. After the 10 years, he was proud to accept a position as Project Manager. In this position for 19 years, Mike grew exponentially in his knowledge of the construction industry.
Mike is a member of the US Green Building Association of America, Construction Management Association of America, Design Build Institute of America, and has LEED, AGC and NPDES certifications.
Mike brings his 44 years of construction experience to the team at Southern Wall. He quickly discovered that Southern Wall is committed to providing the best product and method for attaining the desired results. This provides an end product that not only looks good, but it performs as it was designed to do. Mike has been with Southern Wall since 2014.
