An hour’s drive from Atlanta, CDC’s modernistic, low-rise Building 107 is certified Certified Gold for LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, by the United States Green Building Council.

The structure earned its highest LEED score for innovation: 5 out of 6 points. A key aspect of Building 7 is its extensive use of cantilevered concrete beams.

The subcontractor in charge of walls selected Southern Wall Systems for a task made more difficult by so many cantilevered beams. Nevertheless, we successfully installed 20,000 square feet of cementitious coatings. 

We also were given responsibility for 3,000 square feet of acoustical plaster inside the building’s main entrance.
