Lilli’s prime location in Midtown places Atlanta’s best theaters, museums, restaurants, bars, and shops at the residents’ doorstep.
The apartment tower rises above Peachtree and Third streets amid two of Atlanta’s historic landmarks and architectural gems: The Fox Theatre (Moorish, 1929) and the Georgian Terrace Hotel (Beaux Arts, 1910).
Built on a tiny corner parcel not quite a third of an acre, Lilli puts only seven posh apartments on each floor for a total of 147—each with a full balcony. The tower includes retail space on the ground floor.
The builder tapped Southern Wall Systems to safeguard and beautify two of the lilli’s prominent elements with exterior insulation and finish systems: all of the balcony soffits as well as the rooftop and penthouse walls.
SWS used Parex Standard WaterMaster materials throughout and applied vibrant color and sand-like finishes to the rooftop walls, framing the stunning views.
Fun facts
- “Our goal for lilli Midtown,” said developer Jarel Portman, “was to create a property that feels more like a boutique hotel than an apartment building.”
- Portman is the son of the late John Portman, the legendary Atlanta architect.
- Opera legend Enrico Caruso, along with singers from New York City’s Metropolitan Opera, used to stay at the Georgian Terrace and stroll across a red carpet to the Fox Theatre, where they performed annually.
- A Danish marketing firm hired by the developer came up with the name lilli.
